SAMCO Long Boy (GunCon 1 Conversion)

Convert your PlayStation GunCon 1 into an OpenFIRE light gun.

The Long Boy kit is designed for retro gamers and DIY builders who want to upgrade their classic GunCon 1 controller into an OpenFIRE-compatible light gun. With straightforward assembly and a tidy PCB, it gives you the core parts needed to bring your old hardware back to life.

This kit, along with the parts listed in “What you’ll need separately”, will produce a fully working and playable OpenFIRE light gun.
👉 Please note: haptics are not included — this kit does not include rumble or recoil (solenoid). Rumble and solenoid add-on kits are available separately if you want force feedback.

• Raspberry Pi Pico (not included)
• DFRobot IR Positioning Camera (not included)
• PlayStation GunCon 1 controller (not included)
• OpenFIRE firmware & GUI (FREE! - following links in guides)
• IR sensors (x2 USB Wiibars or a DIY sensor kit)
